Guidelines for Acceptance

Age: adults 16+

Gender: male and female

Treatment: drug addictions, alcohol addictions and other lifestyle imbalance issues.

Medical: A thorough history and physical examination will be completed upon arrival by our doctor.  If you have had a physical examination within the last 30 days, please provide a copy for our Admission Department.

Emotional: Any prior psychological treatment information should be provided if there is any concern that it might interfere with an individual’s ability to be treated for chemical dependency. As much as possible, mental and emotional disorders should be stable prior to admission.

Physical: An individual will be expected to actively participate in all drug and alcohol addiction treatment programs and should be able to function without major limitations.
Spiritual: We believe that recovery involves spiritual healing and ask that all individuals seeking addiction treatment at infinite possibilities be open to exploring this aspect of their lives.

Prior Treatment: Knowledge about and availability of prior treatment records and information will be beneficial to the staff prior to treating each individual. Appropriate requests for Release of Information can be provided by the staff team.

Exclusionary Criteria

  1. Severe addictions in need of medical detoxing.
  2. Psychiatric disorders in need of medical monitoring.
  3. Acute emotional instability.
  4. Severe sexual disorders.
  5. Chronic aggressive behaviour incompatible with a group living environment.

Individuals must have an understanding of the English language to fully benefit from the programme.
